TickTick has a fairly Wunderlist-style design, but is more minimal, and its calendar views are fairly unique. Two other apps stood out: TickTick and Any.do. The other options I felt like were the closest to Wunderlist were Apple Reminders, Todoist for a more advanced alternative (though it feels a bit closer to a task outline than Wunderlist, and won't fit what you want here yet), Things (another Apple device-only option, but it's beautifully designed, and my favorite to-do list app right now), and Remember The Milk and Google Tasks for more bare-bones options. And Microsoft To Do just doesn't have the style and "fun" feeling Wunderlist had. Microsoft To Do was the closest in design and functionality, but it's still missing a few Wunderlist features, including most integrations, smart dates, notification settings, and printing (which was cool in Wunderlist where you could print a nice paper checklist, but somehow not something I'd expect most people use). I'd done a bit of research into Wunderlist alternatives for a Capiche essay a bit ago. Another problem is that the tasks can only be assigned to one person at a time, which seems pointless since most tasks take more than one person to finish. There are too many features and isn’t user-friendly enough. I loved the calendar feature, but overall, the app was a bit messy for me. Particularly enjoyed the feature where you can assign tasks to different people with different deadlines this makes projects so much easier! The slight problem is that they don’t have the templates that I want. They have simple and easy to use utilities, also I can collaborate on projects with my classmates easily.
Quire is similar to what I am looking for. But as a student with budget, I prefer using free app with more functions. I tried Trello, enjoyed how the tasks can be easily separated into categories and add cards simply like having sticky notes, but its functions are restricted greatly if you use the free version. Here are the three I tried to use so far: I was wondering if there are any recommendations for better alternatives. After using Wunderlist for three years, it’s a huge disappointment to see one of my favorite app downgrade to an app that is repetitive and crashes often. To be honest, I tried To Do for a month and it’s just not my thing. Been looking for alternatives for Wunderlist since it went away.
